How often have you tried to light a jar or pillar candle that has burned down quite some way & ended up frustrated & with burnt fingers?!
The best way to light any candle where a match can't safely reach is to use a candle lighting taper. Just light the end of the taper with a match & then touch the lit end of the taper to the candle wick to set it alight
Each taper is approx 11" (28 cm) long so it will reach almost anywhere
These are also really great to light candles on wall sconces & in hurricane lamps as well as being useful for lighting real wood fires & barbecues!

Since the beginning of time, the Native Americans have been associating their lives with that of animals in the wildlife kingdom. One of the most misunderstood of these animals is the wolf. For years, the wolf has been seen as an aggressor, when in reality they are very loving and social creatures. This side of the animal was first seen by the tribes of the Americas. The Native American tribes recognized this and they have incorporated the wolf into many of their myths and legends. The wolf will forever be associated with the Native Americans, and learning more about this relationship can help one to better understand the world of Native Americans.

Frosted Glass Bowl Lamp with Himalayan Salt Chips - UK Plug
Our Salt Lamps and Candleholders are made from the natural salt crystals formed when seas dried up millions of years ago. The salt crystals are mined in the foothills of the Himalayas and then hand-crafted into lamps and candle holders. The natural crystalline structure is coloured by the minerals held in the salt making each piece unique in design and colour.
Suggested Benefits
It has been suggested that the Salt Crystals naturally emit negative ions which have been said to create a feeling of well being and positive energy in a room by counteracting the positive ions and creating balance. It is said that negative ions give the air a clean invigorating freshness similar to the feeling of being by the sea or in the mountains. It has also been said that negative ions can aid headaches, allergies, asthma and other respiratory problems.
Each Salt Lamp and Candleholder comes with full safety and maintenance instructions that must be read in full before using.
Each has a black metal stand with frosted glass bowl. The bowl has a hole in the bottom which the lamp holder, complete with flex, inline switch and plug, sits in. There is a clear glass tube that sits over the bulb and holder so the Himalayan salt chips can be placed into the bowl without touching the bulb. It also comes complete with an SES screw in bulb. Please see each individual lamp for maximum bulb rating.
Some basic assembly is required, please follow full instructions when installing the lamp holder and bulb.
Please note these items are heavy, take care when lifting or moving.

Contemporary beaten pewter hearts with engraved sprials on surgical steel hooks.
Spirals can be traced back 7000 years, developing from observing natural examples in shells and plants. Clockwise and anticlockwise spirals represent the inner and outer evolution of the spirit respectively. In relation to the seasonal calendar these relate to the winter and summer, the year being polarised into light and dark seasons. In Celtic belief this translates to the theme in which one always moves from the darkness into the light.

Cornish tin pixie on sterling silver belcher chain.
Pixies were the underground spirits of the Cornish tin mines. Also known as good luck knockers or spriggans, they were generally described as small, capricious little creatures that were often spiteful. Their presence was not considered altogether unlucky since they were scarcely ever heard, except in the neighbourhood of rich veins of tin, where they tapped away vigorously. It was common practice amongst miners to leave them a didjan (morsel) of their croust (lunch) in an effort to gain their goodwill. Failure to do this could entail dire retribution for the unfortunate but guilty miner.

In his travels he also started churches in Bodmin and Little Petherick, as well as in many parts of Britain, Wales and Brittany. Celtic art reverberates through the centuries, identified by the simple sophistication of form and an indefinable feeling for the rightness of things. St Justin Celtic jewellery is not only a re-creation of the past, but a continual evolving of living art, created by craftsmen for the people of today.
Contemporary, beaten pewter heart with engraved spirals on rhodium-plated or silver-plated snake chain.

Each individual piece of St Justin jewellery and giftware is crafted by hand and eye in Cornwall, the South West extremity of Britain. It is in places such as Cornwall, Wales, Ireland and Scotland that the art of the Celts and ancient Britons has survived, carved into stone tombs and discovered on pottery fragments and ornaments. The picture of the three hares, joined by their ears, can be found in Christian, Jewish, Islamic and Buddhist cultures, separated by great distances and time: in British and European medieval churches, in a German synagogue, on Iranian metalwork and in Buddhist temples from China's Sui dynasty. The hare symbolises femininity and fertility and is usually associated with the divine or magic. The three hares are also thought to represent the Holy Trinity.

Cornish tin penny (replica) mounted on a black leather fob with round split key-ring. Features a pumping engine with the year 1811 on the front and a pilchard with tin ingots and the wording 'For the accommodation of the county' on the reverse.
Cornish pennies were trade tokens. They were introduced and used when there was an inadequate supply of official small denomination coins. Tokens are privately produced substitutes for official coins. They were produced in Britain from the reign of Elizabeth I to that of George III, by companies or individuals, often large scale employers, to provide change. They reached their peak near the end of the 19th century. Monarchs usually held a monopoly on the minting and issuing of coins. This was normally a profitable activity, but the production cost of small coins often made them unprofitable to produce. Because of this, many monarchs neglected to produce sufficient quantities of low denomination coins to meet demand. This caused considerable inconvenience to, and unrest within, the poorer classes. It was not only monarchs, but also governments who failed to provide sufficient small coins for change.
